Having worked with Morton Subotnick the “Grandfather of Techno” since the 80’s, Amy has never stopped exploring, immersing herself in, living for performing live electronic music wherever in the world she can. An expert with just about every interesting percussive controller that exists, she passes the possibilities on to her amazing students at CalArts.

 

Knoles was also a founding member of the California E.A.R. Unit, which was in existence for thirty years as Ensemble in Residence at the L.A.C.M.A. and REDCAT.
